Change Password

You can change the password for the current account. The initial password is assigned by the vault administrator. The administrator can change the password for any account without knowing the current password. If you forget your password, the administrator can assign a new one.

Login user names are case insensitive. Passwords are case-sensitive and encrypted.
To change your password:
  1. In SOLIDWORKS client, click Options Tool_Options_Standard.gif on the SOLIDWORKS Workgroup PDM toolbar, or right-click in the vault view and select SOLIDWORKS Workgroup PDM Options. In the SOLIDWORKS Explorer client, click Options .
  2. In the dialog box, on the Vault tab, under Password, click Change.
  3. In the Change Password dialog box, edit the information as described below and click OK.
