Runner Element PropertyManager

With the Runner Element boundary condition, you can identify portions of your cavity domain that do not belong to the finished part such as: gates, runners, and sprues. These elements are not included in Warping analysis, and their mass is not included in the X-Y Part Mass result plot.

To open the Runner Element PropertyManager:

  • In the PlasticsManager, expand Boundary Conditions, and double-click Runner Element.
Warping analysis is most accurate when applied to a single cavity. If you are simulating a multi-cavity mold, you can run warping analysis on a single cavity by temporarily defining all other cavities as Runner Elements.
