Use the Branch page to define how variables are
affected when you use the Branch command to branch files and
references within the vault.
To display
the Settings dialog box:
- Right-click
the user and select Settings.

File types

Lists the file extensions that have been added. |

File name patterns
|
Click Add to specify file name patterns
whose variable should be modified. Patterns can include * and ?.
Separate the patterns with semicolons. |

Variables to update
|
Lists the variables that are updated. |

Adds a data card variable. For Value, enter the
static text and click  to select from the following
predefined variables:
- Branch File Name
- Branch File Name without
extension
- Branch File Path
- Branch Name
- Current time
- Logged in user
- Source File name
- Source File name without
extension
- Source File Path
- Today's date
- User - Full name
- User - initials
- User - User data

Removes the selected variable and its value. |
