Uploadable File Formats

Upload file formats are limited to whatever you can open with SOLIDWORKS.

In SOLIDWORKS, save your file with the appropriate file type. You can upload the following formats:
  • Parts/Assemblies - .sldprt, .sldasm, .sat, .step, .igs, .x_b, .x_t, .prt, and .asm
  • Features - .sldlfp
  • Blocks - .sldblk
  • Macros - .swp

To upload an Autodesk model, you must first export it from Autodesk in the .sat, .step, or .igs format.

Non-native models appear as imported bodies when downloaded and opened with SOLIDWORKS. The features will not be visible.
