[1] Measure is enabled if the originator specified Okay to measure this eDrawings file when published from SOLIDWORKS. With SOLIDWORKS Standard, eDrawings Pro must also be present and added in when eDrawings files are published with the Okay to measure this eDrawings file option.

[2] Review and Measure are enabled if the file was last saved in any SOLIDWORKS Professional or Premium version.

Measure-enabled vs. Measure-disabled

To protect the details of a design, you can make measure-disabled eDrawings files. You can save measure-enabled files as measure-disabled files. However, once a file is saved as measure-disabled, you cannot make it measure-enabled.

Enabling Measure

To enable Measure, do one of the following:

  • In eDrawings, in the Save As dialog box, select Enable measure.
  • In SOLIDWORKS, in the Save As dialog box, click Options and select Okay to measure this eDrawings file.

Disabling Measure

To disable Measure, do one of the following:

  • In eDrawings, in the Save As dialog box, clear Enable measure.
If the file is already measure-disabled, the Enable measure option is hidden.
  • In SOLIDWORKS, in the Save As dialog box, click Options and clear Okay to measure this eDrawings file.
