The dimension palette appears when you insert a dimension or when you select a dimension to change the properties and format of the dimension text.
Using the dimension palette, you can change the tolerance, precision, and formatting of dimensions without going to the Properties palette.
You can reuse format settings for other dimensions, such as reference dimensions or tolerances.
If you select more than one dimension when you have the dimension palette open, the software applies the properties and formatting you specify to all of the selected dimensions.
You can use the palette to format linear, angular, diameter, arc length, and ordinate dimensions.
