Capabilities of SOLIDWORKS Plastics

SOLIDWORKS Plastics is offered in three product bundles: SOLIDWORKS Plastics Standard, SOLIDWORKS Plastics Professional, and SOLIDWORKS Plastics Premium.

SOLIDWORKS Plastics Standard

Includes the Flow analysis module. You can use this product to evaluate whether you can fill the part represented by the CAD model, which injection locations are optimal, or which material is most suitable.

SOLIDWORKS Plastics Professional

Includes the Flow and Pack analysis modules. You can use this product to evaluate different process conditions, the required clamping force, and the required cycle time.

SOLIDWORKS Plastics Premium

Includes the Flow, Pack, Warp, and Cool analysis modules. You can evaluate the complete injection process, including the cooling system inside the mold and its influence on the filling and packing processes. The deformation of the final part after ejection (during the Warp analysis) provides the most definitive evaluation of the quality of the complete molded part.

Upgrades from one product bundle to another are easy because they share a common installation procedure and user interface.
