Setting Options
Users with access to the administration tool can access administration
functions that affect their Explorer view.
To view user settings:
Select Tools,
Enterprise PDM Administration
from the Explorer window.
Expand the Users directory.
Right-click
your user name and select Settings.
Latest Version Option
When you open a file in Explorer, Enterprise PDM opens your local copy
of the file without checking to see whether a more recent version is available
in the archive. You can change your settings so that each time you open
a file in Enterprise PDM, you use the latest version from your network.
To set the latest version option:
Select the Explorer
tab from the user settings.
Under Miscellaneous,
select Always work with latest version
of files.
When this option is enabled, the options Get
Latest Version and Get
Version are not displayed when you right-click
a file. To open an earlier version, see Versions
and Revisions.
