You can import a Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) file created with an external system and use that file as a guide in building route assemblies.
To access this pane, click Piping and Instrumentation
from the SolidWorks Task Pane.

Lists information about a selected pipe. |

Lists information about a selected piece of equipment. |
Connected equipment |
Lists equipment connected to the selected pipe. |
Required routes |
Lists required pipe components for the selected equipment. |
Required fittings |
Lists required fittings for the selected equipment. |
Insert Connected Equipment |
Inserts the equipment with the required routes and fittings. |
Insert Required Routes |
Inserts the selected pipe with the connected equipment and required fittings. |
