Animating Visual Properties

You can change visual properties at any point during the animation. For example, you can start to change the view from Shaded to Wireframe when the component starts to move. You can also change visual properties in time without animating component movement.

You can change the display of single or multiple components, and combine different display options within the same or different assembly components. When you click Calculate or Play from Start on the MotionManager toolbar, the visual properties for those components change as the animation progresses.

To change visual properties for an animation:

  1. Enable view orientation in the animation.

  2. Drag the time bar to set an ending time point.

  3. On the MotionManager design tree, right-click a component, and select one of the following:

    • Hide

    • Component Display. Change how a component displays. Select from SolidWorks display options.

    • Appearance to change visual characteristics, such as color.

  4. Click Play from start to view the animation.

You can also control sequence timing within the animation.
