Update the VaultAdmin
After a new version of the vault has been installed, you can
update the VaultAdmin tool with the newer version. You are notified automatically
when you log
in that the VaultAdmin is no longer compatible with the vault.
When the vault is updated and a user logs in to another SolidWorks Workgroup PDM
application (VaultAdmin, SolidWorks Explorer client, or SolidWorks client),
a message indicates the software is not compatible with the version in
the vault if the application is not in the same major
release of Workgroup PDM. (However, the service pack levels do not
have to match. For example, you can run an SP3 version of the vault software
with a client that has SP2 installed.)
To update the VaultAdmin:

In the Workgroup PDM VaultAdmin - Login dialog box, click About.
The About Workgroup PDM VaultAdmin
dialog box appears.

Click the button next to Update
to version.
The pdmwUpdater dialog box
appears and prompts you to close the Workgroup PDM
VaultAdmin tool.
Return to the Workgroup PDM VaultAdmin - Login dialog box and click Cancel.
Return to the pdmwUpdater
dialog box and click OK to confirm
the update.

After the update is complete, click OK
to reload VaultAdmin.
The Workgroup PDM VaultAdmin - Login dialog box appears for you to log
back in to the tool.
