Part Cutaway Views

The part cutaway view creates a section in a pictorial (isometric, trimetric, or dimetric) view. This method relies on part configurations.

  1. In the part:
    1. Create a new configuration for the cutaway view.
    2. Cut the part as it should appear in the drawing view.

    3. Suppress the cut feature in all other configurations.

  2. In the drawing:
    1. Create a model view of the part using the configuration you made for the cutaway.

    2. Add cross hatching to the cut faces.
