Using the Defeature Tool
Use the Defeature tool to remove details from assemblies, multibody parts, and single-body parts.
- Click Defeature
(Tools toolbar) or .
The PropertyManager has multiple pages. Different pages are available depending on the type of model.

- Set options in the PropertyManager.
Click

Back ![](../../../../AllArt/art_pm/PM_back.gif)
to move between pages.
- On the Feature Removal Complete page, click
.The Defeature settings are saved in the original model. Defeature
appears in the FeatureManager design tree. If you selected to save the model to a separate file, the Save As dialog box appears.
In the FeatureManager design tree, you can right-click

and click
Edit Feature ![](../../../../AllArt/art_menu/menu_Edit_Feature.gif)
,
Save Result,
Upload to 3DCC, or
Delete.
