Disabling and Enabling FeatureWorks

When you select a FeatureWorks command, the add-in loads dynamically if you have it installed and are running SolidWorks Professional or SolidWorks Premium.

To access FeatureWorks commands:

Open a part that contains imported features and do one of the following:

    • Click Recognize Features art\ICN_IFR.gif or Options (Features toolbar).

    • Click Recognize Features art\ICN_IFR.gif (Data Migration tab of the CommandManager).

    • Click Insert, FeatureWorks and then click Recognize Features or Options.

    • In the FeatureManager design tree, right-click an imported feature, click FeatureWorks, and click Recognize Features or Options.

To set FeatureWorks to activate whenever you open SolidWorks:

  1. Click Tools, Add-Ins.

  2. Select FeatureWorks under the Active Add-ins and Start Up columns.

You can turn off the FeatureWorks software when it is not in use. The tools remain available on menus and toolbars.

To turn off FeatureWorks:

  1. Click Tools, Add-Ins.

  2. Clear FeatureWorks under the Active Add-ins and Start Up columns.
