Rotate Orientation
Rotate Orientation
The rotate orientation option rotates the 0 degree reference orientation
by 90 degrees (about the blue arrow of triad) for a face of shell. The
option is similar to the Rotate 00 Reference
but applies to individual faces of a shell.

For the shell face above, the stripes rotate about the axis normal to
the plane (blue arrow) by 90 degrees in counter-clockwise direction. As
a result, the 60 degrees ply angle (yellow arrow), when Rotate
Orientation is selected, corresponds to -30 degrees ply angle before
rotation.
