Updates

Specify that the application check for updates every 30 days, or check manually.

To check for updates automatically:

Click Tools, Options.
On the General tab, select Check for service pack updates every 30 days, then click OK.

To check for updates manually:

Click Help, Check for Updates.

Download

If a later service pack is detected, a Service Pack Available message appears with the number of the new service pack and an option to download.

Yes. Takes you to the download page on the SolidWorks web site: http://www.edrawingsviewer.com/pages/programs/download/index.html.
No. The message box closes and the count to 30 days continues if the automatic check is enabled.
