Set Card Variables Dialog Box

Use the Set Card Variables dialog box to create a command that lets users supply a value for file and folder variables.

The file must be checked out for the variables to be set.

To display this dialog box:

Click Add in the Edit Action dialog box, then choose Set Card Variables and click OK.

Item to set variable for

Select one of the following:

Selected file or folder The command is executed on the selected file or folder.
You can add the For all documents command and End for all documents to your script to indicate a block of commands to operate on all selected files.
File with path The command is executed on a file with the specified path.

To define the file system path, enter text or click to select Dispatch variables to include in the path.

Folder with path The command is executed on a folder with the specified path.

To define the folder path, enter text or click to select Dispatch variables to include in the path.

Destination card variable Select from a list of all variables in the vault.
Configuration list Enter the names of configurations to update.

Leave the field blank to update all configurations.

Variable value Enter the variable value by entering text or building up the variable by selecting Dispatch variables from the list that is displayed when you click .
