Upgrading Toolbox Software

You upgrade Toolbox as part of a SolidWorks upgrade, using the SolidWorks Installation Manager.

Two upgrade scenarios are provided:

Use Upgrading to Manage Toolbox Entirely in the Vault when you have managed Toolbox with Enterprise PDM prior to the 2010 release, and want to change to complete Toolbox integration.
Use Ongoing Toolbox Upgrades after you have set up Toolbox to be managed completely in the vault.

Upgrading to Manage Toolbox Entirely in the Vault

Use this upgrade procedure when you have previously worked with all or some of the Toolbox library outside the vault and you now want to manage the entire Toolbox library in the vault.
Ongoing Toolbox Upgrades

When you upgrade the SolidWorks software, Toolbox is upgraded if parts have been added. If the Toolbox root folder is in an Enterprise PDM vault, before you start the SolidWorks upgrade, you must prepare the Toolbox folder.
