Results Combination Setup

This PropertyManager describes how the Pressure Vessel Design study combines the results of the static studies algebraically using a linear combination or the square root of the sum of the squares (SRSS). Under Message, you can see the algebraic equation the software uses to combine the static studies.

To use Linear combination:

  1. Select Linear combination under Option.
  2. Under Study, select a study that you want to combine in the menu.
  3. Under Factor, type a multiplication factor. The software applies this factor to the results of the selected study.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to combine additional studies.

To use SRSS:

  1. Select SRSS under Option.
  2. Under Study, select a study that you want to combine in the menu.
  3. Repeat step 2 to combine additional studies.
