Edge ID

SolidWorks uses this ID to track specific edges of imported bodies.

The edge ID is a persistent ID that is not saved with the document. The edge ID can be changed by any third-party application. The intent is that you assign an ID value to a particular edge or edges so you can refer to that edge within your application. Each ID value must be unique, so let SolidWorks assign the ID value when an imported body or surface is created.
