RemoveId Method (IEdge)

Removes the edge ID on an imported body.

.NET Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Sub RemoveId()
Visual Basic (Usage)
Dim instance As IEdge

instance.RemoveId()
C#
void RemoveId()
C++/CLI
void RemoveId();

Remarks

SolidWorks uses this ID to track the specific edges of imported bodies.

The edge ID is a persistent ID that SolidWorks does not save with the document. The edge ID can be changed by any third-party application. The intent is that you assign an ID to a particular edge so that you can refer to that edge within your application. Each ID must be unique, so it is best to let SolidWorks assign IDs for you when an imported body or surface is created.

Use the IAttribute object to store data with an edge.
