Editing Existing Section Views with Section View Assist

You can use Section View Assist, previously called the Section View User Interface, to add offsets to existing section views created with Section View Assist in SolidWorks 2013 and later.

Section View Assist is not available for section views whose sketches have been directly edited.

To edit existing section views with Section View Assist:

  1. Right-click on an existing section view or its cutting line and click Edit Cutting Line.

    For some complex section views created with SolidWorks 2013, you must select an insertion point before you can modify them.

  2. On the Section view popup, click an offset.
  3. Click PM_OK.gif.
