In SOLIDWORKS drawings, you can link the value of a drawing's custom property to the drawing's title block by using the $PRP prefix. In Enterprise PDM, you can link a data card variable to the same custom property to display the text in the data card.
Similarly, you can display the value of a model's custom property in both the model's drawing and the model's data card by using a $PRPSHEET property link.
When $PRP property links are used to update drawings using the drawing's custom properties, the updates can be viewed in eDrawings without having to open and resave the drawings in SOLIDWORKS.
