GetPropertyExtension Method (IPartDoc)

Retrieves a float, string, or integer value from a part document.

Parameters

ID

Unique identifier for the desired property extension

Return Value

Value stored using IPartDoc::AddPropertyExtension

Remarks

The return value is based on the how the data was placed on the part. See IPartDoc::AddPropertyExtension for details.

SolidWorks recommends that you use the IAttribute, IAttributeDef, and IParameter classes instead of this method. These three classes are provide more flexibility.
