eDrawings® Professional is an optional set of tools that enhances the eDrawings application.

If a file originated from SolidWorks Professional or SolidWorks Premium, it has an embedded eDrawings® Professional license (it is review-enabled). This is true for native SolidWorks files and published eDrawings files.

When you publish a eDrawings® file from your CAD application, you can assign a password to protect the eDrawings file.

The Move Component 
tool lets you move components in an assembly file or in a drawing file of an assembly. The eDrawings Viewer ignores mates, allowing full degrees of freedom. You can also move subassemblies as a unit.

tool measures exact dimensions in part, assembly, and drawing documents.

You can drag the plane to change the cross section.

- Configurations
If a SolidWorks part or assembly document has multiple configurations, you can select which configurations to save to the eDrawings file when you publish it from the SolidWorks application. If you publish multiple configurations, the file size and the time required to save the eDrawings file may increase.
- Saving Multiple Drawing Sheets
When you publish a multi-sheet drawing document as an eDrawings file, you can select which sheets to publish in the eDrawings file. If you publish multiple sheets, the file size and the time required to save the eDrawings file may increase.
- Exploded Views
You can display exploded view information in your CAD application's assembly documents that you open in the eDrawings Viewer.
- Displaying Mass Properties
You can display mass properties for CAD files (except SolidWorks files) or eDrawings part and assembly files. You can also set the units and precision for calculating the mass properties. In assemblies, the properties are calculated for the complete assembly, not individual components.
