Use the Warnings tab to specify conditions that will block check in, check out, change state, and increment revision operations. 
For example, you can prevent group members from incrementing a revision when a file is checked out.
To access this tab:
- Display a group's Properties dialog box, by expanding the Groups node and double-clicking the group or right-clicking Groups and selecting New Group.
- In the left pane, click Warnings.
| Can't ignore any warnings | If any warning is reported, the user cannot perform the operation. |

The warnings available  depend on the Affected operation you select.
Change State
| File is checked out | Another user has the file checked out. The group member does not have write access. | 
| File is in wrong state | The state of the file does not match the state of the file the group member is checking out.  For example, the state of a referenced file may not have been changed when the state of the referencing file was changed. | 
| File not found | The file is not stored in the vault. | 
| Latest version is not attached | A later version of the file is in the vault. | 
| No rights to change state | The group member does not have permission to change the state of the file. | 
| Parent can't change state | The group member does not have permission to change the state of the parent file. | 
| The file is not rebuilt | The file was not rebuilt when it or its parent file was modified. | 
| Unknown file format | The format of the file has not been defined in Enterprise PDM. See File Types. | 
Check In
| Cyclic reference. | The referenced file itself refers back to the parent file and cannot be checked in. The detection of a cyclic reference always blocks check in. | 
| File name is not unique. | Another file of the same name already exists in the vault. | 
| File not found. | The referenced file is not found. | 
| Local file is modified. | A local copy  of the referenced file has been modified. | 
| No local copy. | The referenced file is present in the vault but there is no copy in the local folder. | 
| Outside SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM. | The referenced file is  stored in a location outside the file vault and will not be added as a reference in SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM for the parent file (the actual reference is still stored in the physical parent file). | 
| The file is checked out by another user. | The referenced file is checked out by another user. | 
| The file is checked out in another folder. | The referenced file is checked out in another folder. | 
| The file is checked out on another computer. | The referenced file is checked out on another computer. | 
| The file is not rebuilt. | The file has been updated more recently than  a drawing or assembly that references it. Clicking on this warning will provide additional information regarding which files need to be rebuilt. | 
| The file is open in another application. | The user should close the file in the other application and then check in the file. If the file is open in SOLIDWORKS and the Enterprise PDM add-in is installed, the user can check in from the add-in without closing the file. | 
| Unknown file format. | The file format is not recognized. | 
Check Out
| Can't check out: Unsupported file type. | Files of this type are not supported in the vault. | 
| Document in multiple projects. | The document is used in multiple projects. | 
| File is checked out. | The file is already checked out by another user. | 
| File not found. | The file is not stored in the vault. | 
| No check out rights. | The user does not have permission to check out the file. | 
| The file is deleted. | The file has been deleted from the vault. | 
| The file is open in another application. | The user should close the file in the other application and then check out the file. If the file is open in SOLIDWORKS and the Enterprise PDM add-in is installed, the user can check out from the add-in without closing the file. | 
Increment revision
| A revision is attached to a newer version. | A revision number has already been attached to a newer version of the file. | 
| Can't increment revision. | A transition action is set to increment the file revision, but there is a problem. | 
| Can't increment revision. End of revision list. | The values in the revision list have been exhausted and the operation is refused. | 
| Can't increment revision. File is checked out. | The file is checked out. The user must check in the file in order to increment its revision. | 
| Can't increment revision. Missing revision on referenced file. | No revision number has been configured for a file that is referenced by this file. | 
| Can't increment revision. No revision generator found. | No revision number has been configured for this file. | 
| Can't increment revision. You lack sufficient rights. | The user does not have permission to increment the revision of files in this folder. | 
| File not found. | The file is not stored in the vault. | 
| Multiple versions exist in tree. | More than one version of this file exists in the folder. | 
| Somebody else has created a revision on this document. | Another user has incremented the revision number on this file.  | 
| The file is not rebuilt. | The file has been updated more recently than  a drawing or assembly that references it. Clicking on this warning will provide additional information regarding which files need to be rebuilt. | 
| The selected version does not exist. |  |
