You can change your settings so that each time you open a file in Enterprise PDM,
you use the latest version in the vault.
If you do not set this option, when you open a file in Explorer, Enterprise PDM opens your local copy of the file
without checking to see whether a more recent version is available in the archive.
To set the latest version option:
- Select from File Explorer.
- Expand the Users directory.
- Right-click your user name and select Settings.
- In the left pane of the Settings dialog box, click Reference Dialog.
- Under Check out and version access controls, select Auto select reference files to get latest when check out and Always work with latest version of files.
- Click OK.
