Results Combination Setup

The Results Combination Setup PropertyManager of a Pressure Vessel study lets you combine the results of multiple static studies by applying a linear combination or the square root of the sum of the squares method (SRSS).

To display the Results Combination Setup PropertyManager:

Create a Pressure Vessel study, right-click Setup PM_result_combination_setup.gif and select Define/edit.

Options

  Linear combination Select to create an algebraic equation to combine the results from the selected static studies.
  SRSS Select to combine the results from the selected studies by applying the square root of the sum of the squares method.
  Factor Type a multiplication factor. The application applies this factor to the results of the selected study. (Available for the Linear combination option only).
  Study Select at least two static studies from the menu to combine their results. You can keep adding more studies.

Under Message, you can see the algebraic equation the software uses to combine the static studies.
