Markup Tools

Markup tools are inserted in the graphics area and are associated with comments.

Tools in the Markup pane vary depending on the markup category you select:
Markup Category Tool Description
Labels Displays the text and labeling tools on the Markup pane.
Shapes Displays the sketch tools on the Markup pane.
Dimensions Displays the filter tools and distance and units options on the Markup pane.
Insert Image Inserts an image in the file.

You can save markups in separate markup files.

  • Text

    You can add text, with or without a leader, in the graphics area. The markup text is associated with a comment.

  • Clouds

    You can add clouds in the graphics area. The clouds are associated with a comment.

  • Geometric Elements

    You can add geometric elements to the graphics area. The elements are associated with a comment.

  • Dimensions

    You can add dimensions as markup elements associated with comments.

  • Images

    You can insert images into eDrawings documents and drag, resize, and delete them. Images are associated with comments.
