If the archive server is set up to use SOLIDWORKS PDM login, the archive server that hosts the vault manages the user names and passwords.
To create a user account for the SOLIDWORKS PDM login type:
User accounts are listed if they have already been added to another vault on the same archive server but have not been added to the vault you are managing.
Leave this field blank if you want notifications to the user to be sent using the built-in notification system.
Type an email address if the mail system is set up to use SMTP.
Assign permissions to use administrative tools.
Add users to groups.
Assign permission for actions on files in individual folders.
View and change permissions for selected folders.
Assign permissions for actions on files based on their states.
You can also assign these permissions using the workflow editor.

Specify warnings that will block actions such as checking files in and out and changing the state of a file.
Control access to files created by the user.
