Selecting Wires for Electrical Library

Select wires or cables to use in the route in the Electrical Library dialog box, which appears when you click Add Wires PM_EditWires_AddWires.gif in the Edit Wires PropertyManager.

To select wires or cables:

  1. In Library File, specify the library file you want to use.
All wires and cables in the library appear in Select Wires. The wires and cables are listed by Wire name or Cable name as defined in the Cable/Wire Library.
  2. In Select Wires, select a wire or cable that you want to use in the assembly, then click Add.
The wire or cable is added to Selected Wires.
  3. Repeat the preceding steps to select more wires or cables as needed. Click Delete to remove a selected wire or cable from the list.
You can select a wire or cable more than once. For example if you need to route a piece of 20g_blue from connector A to connector B, and another piece of 20g_blue from connector A to connector C, add 20g_blue to Selected Wires two times.
  4. Click OK.
The selected wires and cables appear in Wire From-To List in the Edit Wires PropertyManager.
