eDrawings Password

Add password protection to eDrawings Professional files during export.

To add a password to an eDrawings file:

  1. In SOLIDWORKS, click Save As, or click File > Save As.
  2. In the dialog box, select eDrawings (*.eprt, *.easm, or *.edrw) for Save as type.
  3. Click Password.
  4. In the dialog box:
    1. Select Password required to open document.
    2. Type a password.
    3. Type the password again in Confirm password.
    4. Click OK.
  5. In the Save As dialog box, click Save to save the eDrawings file with password protection.
