Linear Note Pattern

You can display notes in a linear pattern in drawings.

To create a linear pattern of the note:

  1. Select the note.
  2. In a drawing view, click Linear Note Pattern (Annotations toolbar) or Insert > Annotations > Linear Note Pattern .
  3. In the PropertyManager, under Direction 1:
    • Set Spacing dim_lin_d1.png between the notes. You can also set the spacing in the graphics area .
    • Set Number of Instances pattern_linear_count.png to the total number of notes to create. You can also set the number of instances in the graphics area .
    • Set Angle dim_ang_01.png to the angular direction from the horizontal (X axis). For example, to create the pattern along a 45º line starting at the note, set Angle to 45.
    • Click Reverse Direction to create the pattern along the extension of the line. For example, if you set Angle to 45, clicking Reverse Direction creates the pattern along a 225º line starting at the note. When you click Reverse Direction, the value of Angle updates. You can also reverse direction in the graphics area by clicking the handle .
      You can change the spacing and angle of the pattern in the graphics area by dragging the selection point .
  4. Repeat Step 4 for Direction 2.
    Direction 2 activates when Number of Instances is greater than 1.
  5. Click .

  6. After you create the pattern, you can edit the notes individually.
