The Excel template (3DCC_Import_Template.xls) helps you manage your files for uploading to 3D ContentCentral. You enter your data in the template and click Import From Excel in the File Upload tool. The files are then added to the upload queue.
To download the Excel template, click Download Excel Template from the File Upload tool window.
The 3DCC Import Template is not available on Google™ Chrome.
The template lets you manage the following data for your files:

3D Model File |
Local or network path to the specified file. You can also use the Select File(s) button to locate the specified file. For assemblies, use the name of the assembly and all referenced files will automatically be uploaded. |
Part Number |
(Mandatory) Unique part number for new part or existing part number to update a part. Part numbers cannot be changed after uploading. |
Display Name |
(Mandatory) Part name that is displayed. |
Description |
Part description that helps locate part through search. |
Tags |
User-defined labels that are used with categories to help locate the part through search. |
Categories |
(Mandatory) 3D ContentCentral defined groupings. |
Drawing File |
Local or network path to the drawing file for the part. |
Image Preview File |
Local or network path to the image file for the part. Supported image file types are JPG and GIF. |
Datasheet |
Local or network path to the datasheet file for the part. Supported datasheet file types are TXT, DOC(X), PDF, and XLS(X). |
To locate your files, you can either:
- Enter the local or network path to the files in the 3D Model File column.
- Use the Select File(s) button at the top of the spreadsheet to browse to the specified files.
You must have Excel macros enabled to use Select File(s). Follow the procedure in the Excel documentation to enable macros.
