Recommended Naming Conventions

There are suggested naming conventions for drawing files, datasheets, image previews, and Zip files.

Drawing Files 3D ContentCentral automatically associates a drawing file with a part/assembly if their file names are the same.
Datasheets 3D ContentCentral automatically associates any datasheet (up to 10) with a part/assembly if their file names begin with the same name. The datasheet name also contains an underscore (_) followed by the specific document name. For example, the datasheet bolt31_catalog.pdf is automatically associated with the part bolt31.sldprt.
Image Previews 3D ContentCentral automatically associates an image preview with a part/assembly if their file names are the same.
Zip Files The Zip file name should be the same as the model file name.
