To create a tab and slot:

Open system_dir:\Users\Public\Public Documents\SOLIDWORKS\SOLIDWORKS 2018\samples\whatsnew\sheet metal\tab_and_slot.sldprt.
Click Tab and Slot (Sheet Metal toolbar) or Insert > Sheet Metal > Tab and Slot.
In the PropertyManager:
1. Under Spacing, select Equal Spacing and set Number of Instances to 7.
2. Under Tabs, set Length to 5mm, Height to Blind and Tab Height Value to 5mm.
In the graphics area:
1. Select the edge shown for the Tab Edge .
2. Select the back face shown for the Slot Face .
Click .
