Toolbox lets you annotate drawings with balloons and then use the balloons to create a Bill of Materials (BOM) for the drawings.
The Bill of Materials shows data for the entities you associate with balloons.
You can:
- Attach balloons to Toolbox hardware and holes or to any other entity in the drawing.
- Attach a balloon individually to each part you want to include in the BOM, or create a single stacked balloon referencing all parts selected for the BOM.
- Create a BOM from the balloons you have inserted into your drawing.
BOM creation is based on balloon data that contains information about drawing entities.
- Export balloon data to a comma-separated text file.
- Edit the BOM:
- Recreate the BOM to make text style changes, and to update data when you add or remove balloons.
- Edit the BOM rows to modify the balloon data.
- Delete the BOM.
