Creating and Saving Favorites

To use the same dimension layout in multiple places in a drawing or in multiple drawings, you can create and save up to 10 dimension text favorites.

1. Select one or more dimensions in a drawing.
2. Click the dimension palette icon to open the dimension palette.
3. Use the controls at the top of the palette and the palette fields to format the selected dimensions.
4. To add the format to the Favorites List associated with this drawing:
   1. At the bottom of the dimension palette, click Save Favorite .
   2. In the Save Favorite dialog box, specify a name and click OK.
5. To export the favorite to a file that can be imported to another drawing:
   1. Click Export Favorite .
   2. In the Export Favorite dialog box, verify the file name and save location and click Save.
      You can specify the path for dimension favorites in the Options dialog box, under User Preferences > Drafting Options > Dimension Palette .
      The favorite is saved as a .dimfvt file.
