After running a warpage analysis, you can export the deformed shape as a
SOLIDWORKS® part body.
To open the Body from Deformed Shape
PropertyManager:
In the PlasticsManager, under Results, right-click Warp
Results, and click Create Body from Deformed
Shape.
Save the deformed body as a new configuration or a new part file. Use the Advanced
Export to access alternative export formats, such as Surfaces and
Tessellated body, to recreate geometry from a deformed shape.
Product designers can use this functionality to evaluate a part’s deformed
shape and assembly fit requirements, while mold designers can size the mold
accurately.
Designers of plastic optical lenses can use Body
from Deformed Shape in their optical simulations to evaluate the effect
of manufacturing-induced deformation on the performance of the lens.
