You can use the Envelope
Publisher
tool to include components from a
top-level assembly as envelopes in a subassembly.
You can work in the subassembly using the published envelopes as
reference components in isolation from the top-level assembly. The envelope components
inherit changes from the top-level assembly.
Multiple subassemblies can have the same envelope. Subassemblies can
contain only one group of envelopes published by Envelope
Publisher
.
When you select a subassembly as a destination for the envelope, an
external reference is created to the parent assembly. The Published Envelopes
folder displays external reference
symbols that indicate the reference state of the envelope.
Envelope Publisher
is available when an assembly
contains subassemblies. The tool is not available in Large Design Review mode.
