List Thermal PropertyManager

You can list temperature and heat flux results after you run a Thermal study.

To access this PropertyManager, after you run a Thermal study, right-click Results and select List Thermal.

Component

Units Select the units of the component.
Component Sets the thermal component to be searched for extreme values. The default is to list values within 5% tolerance of the Absolute Max value.
TEMP Nodal temperature
GRADX Temperature gradient in the X-direction of the selected reference geometry
GRADY Temperature gradient in the Y-direction of the selected reference geometry
GRADZ Temperature gradient in the Z-direction of the selected reference geometry
GRADN Resultant temperature gradient
HFLUXX Heat flux in the X-direction of the selected reference geometry
HFLUXY Heat flux in the Y-direction of the selected reference geometry
HFLUXZ Heat flux in the Z-direction of the selected reference geometry
HFLUXN Resultant heat flux
Time Step Number Available for transient thermal analysis. Sets the time step at which results are to be listed. Default step is 1 for steady state thermal analysis.

Advanced Options

Plane, Axis or Coordinate System Select a reference plane, an axis, or a coordinate system to list stress. Used for directional components only.
Extremes Select this option to search for extreme values.
Criterion Sets the criterion for extreme values of results. Available list options are:
  • Absolute Max
  • Algebraic Max
  • Algebraic Min
Sort by value Activates the sorting of the list.
List all values within Sets the range of values to be listed. The default is to list values within 5% tolerance of the extreme value.
Range Use this option to list values sequentially with node numbers. Enter the lowest and the highest node numbers.

List Set

Available only if Range is selected under Advanced Options.

Lists temperatures and gradients Lists nodal temperature, the three components of temperature gradient, and the resultant temperature gradient.
List heat flux Lists the three components of heat flux and the resultant heat flux.
