Batch Rendering

You can schedule batch processes to render PhotoView 360 documents and Motion Studies animations. As with other batch tasks, you can reorder tasks, generate reports, etc. through the SOLIDWORKS Task Scheduler application.

If a scheduled document is too complex for the system’s available memory, batch processing skips that document and processes the next scheduled document.

To schedule batch rendering:

  1. Open the first document.
  2. Open SOLIDWORKS Task Scheduler by clicking Start > All Programs > SOLIDWORKS version > SOLIDWORKS Tools > SOLIDWORKS Task Scheduler .
SOLIDWORKS Task Scheduler must be open for the duration of the scheduled tasks. However, the SOLIDWORKS Application does not need to be open.
  3. Click Schedule Render tools_render_schedule_render.png (PhotoView toolbar).
  4. In the Schedule Render dialog box:
    1. Enter a value for File Name.
    2. Type a path to create a folder for Save File To.
    3. Set values for Start Time and Start Date.
    4. Optionally select Start after Previous Task.
  5. If you need to verify document settings, click Settings.
  6. Click Finish.
  7. Repeat steps 1 through 5 for each document you want to schedule or to render the same document with different appearances multiple times.
If appearances are not found, you can browse for a replacement by clicking Yes in the Render dialog box. Click No to ignore all missing appearances.
