SOLIDWORKS Product Activation enables you to activate,
reactivate,
deactivate, or display SOLIDWORKS licenses on this computer.
The
Activate/Deactivate Your SOLIDWORKS
Product screen appears if one of these events occurred:
- You started SOLIDWORKS and the license for this computer is not
activated. (You are in Activate mode.)
- In SOLIDWORKS, you clicked . (You are in Activate mode.)
- In SOLIDWORKS, you clicked . (You are in Deactivate
mode.)
- When you started SOLIDWORKS, you clicked Reactivate Now in response to a Product Activation prompt.
Before you can run SOLIDWORKS products on an individual computer, you must
activate the license for that computer.
If you disable a computer or move the SOLIDWORKS software from one computer
to another, you must deactivate the license to the license key server at Dassault Systèmes
SolidWorks Corporation. Then, you reactivate the license on the other computer.
For details about activating, deactivating, and reactivating SOLIDWORKS
licenses, see SOLIDWORKS Installation and Administration Guide.
Activate/Deactivate
Click the
Product listing to select
the SOLIDWORKS product whose license you want to activate or deactivate. Specify whether to
activate automatically over the internet or manually by email.
If you
are activating a SolidNetWork license, the SolidNetWork serial number appears instead of
the Product listing.
Reactivate
Starting with SOLIDWORKS 2022 products, if you have perpetual commercial or educational
licenses, you must reactivate those licenses once a year. A perpetual license never expires
but needs to be reactivated. The SOLIDWORKS Product Activation prompts you to reactivate
before the required reactivation date.
Contact Information
Specify an email address that the SOLIDWORKS software can use for license
activation.
If you specify manual email activation, the SOLIDWORKS software sends the
license key response file in an email to this address.
