Installing DraftSight Connected

Prerequisites:
  • 3DEXPERIENCE credentials.
  • A web browser.

To install DraftSight Connected:

  1. Log in to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
  2. On the top bar of the 3DDashboard, click the Compass .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Under ME > My Roles, click 3DEXPERIENCE DraftSight Premium > DraftSight Connected
    • Under ME > My Apps, click DraftSight Connected

  4. Follow the prompts to download and install the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher and more app components.
  5. To use DraftSight Connected for the first time:
    1. Return to the 3DDashboard in your browser.
    2. Click the Compass .
    3. Click DraftSight Connected.

To uninstall DraftSight Connected in Windows, click Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Select Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS 3DEXPERIENCE and click Uninstall.

Starting with 2022x FD03, the installation for DraftSight Connected downloads a non-Java-based PLM Collaborative Services (PLMCSA) client, which enables the integration between the app and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This client replaces the Java-based Integration Exchange Framework client (IEF).
