Via Filters

Vias form the vertical electrical connections between different layers in a circuit board. You can filter out vias by via diameter.

To apply via filters:

From the Tools tab, click Vias Vias_Filtered_16x16.png in the Filter area of the Tools toolbar.

Larger than

Filters out vias with a via diameter larger than the specified value. Enter a value, click or , or drag the slider .
Smaller than

Filters out vias with a via diameter smaller than the specified value. Enter a value, click or , or drag the slider .
Filter out all on conductive layers

Filters out filled areas on the conductive layers you select.

Filtering Vias by Via Diameter

In preparation for import to SOLIDWORKS, you can filter out vias by diameter size.

To filter out vias by diameter size:

  1. From the Tools tab, click Vias Vias_Filtered_16x16.png in the Filter area of the Tools toolbar.
  2. In the Via Filters pane, under Filter by size, enter a filtering criteria:
    Option Description
    Larger than Excludes vias with via diameter greater than the specified value. Enter a value, click or , or drag the slider .
    Smaller than Excludes vias with via diameter less than the specified value. Enter a value , click or , or drag the slider .
    The filtering criteria you select does not apply to conductive layer filtering.

Filtering Vias on Conductive Layers

In preparation for import to SOLIDWORKS, you can filter out vias on conductive layers.

To filter out vias on selected conductive layers:

  1. From the Tools tab, click Vias Vias_Filtered_16x16.png in the Filter area of the Tools toolbar.
  2. In the Via Filters pane, select Filter out all on conductive layers.
  3. Select the conductive layers to remove vias from.
