Outputting Images You can output images of projects with the Output Tools. These tools open the appropriate tab in the Output Tools dialog box. Snapshot Captures what you see on the screen with more control than an ordinary screen shot. Render Invokes raytracing at the settings you specify. Several rendering modes are available. At the top of the Output Tools dialog box, you can select render profiles using the Smart Control Bar. You can also create custom profiles for each render type. Available only in SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional Animation Renders a movie of the animations you set up in the scene. Turntable Renders a series of frames where the objects spin on turntables. Sun Study Renders a series of frames at different times of day. Contents Smart Control Bar for Rendering Profiles At the top of the Output Tools dialog box, you can select render profiles from the drop-down list in the Smart Control Bar. The profiles contain preset options to speed up rendering. You can also create custom profiles for each render type and lock them to prevent changes to the settings. Creating Snapshots A snapshot uses the current camera to capture what you see in the 3D Viewport. Creating Renderings You can generate high quality, realistic renderings, but it can take time depending on your hardware, project complexity, and resolution of renders. Output Viewer Tab The Output Viewer tab appears when you render a model so you can manage render jobs and their respective output on a per project basis. You can recall (or re-execute) any previous rendering done in a project, directly from the Output Viewer tab. Creating Turntable Renderings You can make a series of high quality renderings that show models rotating 360º around their own centers, or together around the world origin.
