Auto-Paint Options
Auto-Paint builds an association between the names you give parts, appearances,
or layers in your CAD package, and the names of SOLIDWORKS Visualize appearances you assign to those parts after
import. Based on your naming pattern, SOLIDWORKS Visualize learns how to Auto-Paint a model
upon
import. For
details, see Import Settings Dialog Box.
For example, in CAD you always name a tire layer “Tires,”
and in SOLIDWORKS Visualize you always paint the
part called “Tires” with the Black Rubber appearance. With
Auto-Paint options set, every time you import a model that has a part called “Tires,”
SOLIDWORKS Visualize automatically assigns the
Black Rubber appearance to that part. This feature lets you pre-paint a model in the
CAD package so you do not have to assign appearances after you import the file.

Used Storage |
