Installing the Render with SOLIDWORKS Visualize Add-In

You can install the Render with SOLIDWORKS Visualize add-in from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Prerequisites:
  • 3DEXPERIENCE credentials
  • A web browser
  • A full product installation of SOLIDWORKS Visualize Standard or Professional 2020 SP3 or later

To install the Render with SOLIDWORKS Visualize add-in:

  1. Close SOLIDWORKS Visualize.
  2. Log in to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
  3. On the top bar of the 3DDashboard, click the Compass .
  4. Under Me, click Render with SOLIDWORKS Visualize.

  5. Follow the prompts to download and install the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher and more add-in components.
    The components available to you depend on your platform roles. They download sequentially, so keep your browser window open and watch for prompts.
  6. To use Render with SOLIDWORKS Visualize for the first time:
    1. Return to the 3DDashboard in your browser.
    2. Click the Compass , click Render with SOLIDWORKS Visualize, and log in.

Starting with 2022x FD03, the installation for the Render with SOLIDWORKS Visualize add-in downloads a non-Java-based PLM Collaborative Services (PLMCSA) client, which enables the integration between the add-in and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This client replaces the Java-based Integration Exchange Framework client (IEF).
