Design Study Properties PropertyManager

The Design Study Properties PropertyManager controls the accuracy, speed, and destination folder for the design study results. You can also include remarks in the report.

To display the PropertyManager:

From a Design Study tab, click Design Study Options .

Design Study Quality

High quality (slower)

For optimization studies

Finds optimal solution using many iterations (Box-Behnken design).

For evaluation studies

Evaluates the results for all scenarios.

Fast results

For optimization studies

Finds optimal solution using few iterations (Rechtschafner design).

For evaluation studies

Strategically selects certain scenarios to calculate fully, and interpolates the results for the rest of the scenarios. The scenarios with interpolated results are displayed in gray text on the Results View tab.

Result folder Lists the options for storing the results.

SOLIDWORKS document folder

Stores the study results in the same folder as the model's SOLIDWORKS files.

User defined

Uses the location entered or selected using Browse.

Remark

Include in Report Includes the typed remarks in the report.

Selecting the Quality of the Design Study

The quality of a Design Study determines the speed of the calculations and the accuracy of the results.

For more details, see the quality settings for the following type of studies:

For the Optimization Design Study, use the Fast Results option if you need the program to use fewer iterations. For the Evaluation Design Study mode, use the Fast Results option if you have several scenarios to run.
