Excel export

In this chapter, the generic term Report is used to refer both to Reports and Design rules. These two report types are based on the same features and are managed in the same way.

Report management: Excel export

Design rule management: Excel export

Exports the electrical project data to an Excel file using the report configurations.

First, a wizard asks you to select the reports you wish to export.

Step 1. Excel Export

Export all reports: Select this to export all the electrical project reports. Otherwise, use the list to select the reports you want to export.

Step 2

One sheet by break: Creates one sheet by break as defined in the report.

Add created file to project: When this option is activated, the XLS files are created in the project storage directory and added to the electrical project as data files (or updated if they already exist). If not activated, the text files are generated in the defined directory.

Target folder: Enter the target directory for the files. Click on the [...] button. If you activated the Add created files to project option, you must select a folder or book in the electrical project. If not, you will be asked to select a directory.

File extension: Select the extension of the file corresponding to the Excel version.

Open file: Opens the file generated in the application associated with XLS files.

Step 3. Finish

Click on Finish to begin generating the Excel files.

Exported XLS files, if they are in the electrical project pages, are automatically updated when you run some commands, such as printing, exporting to PDF files, or new revision creation. They can also be updated using the Update exported report in their contextual menu.
